Sermon notes I took at church a longgggg time ago - 2003!!!.........BLESSINGS IN OUR BLOOPERS!!!!!! by Patricia Smith

BLESSINGS IN OUR BLOOPERS!
Bloopers are like edits in a film.
Bloopers are inevitable.
Bloopers are in the making of a ‘Child of God’.
Men/Women of faith all have bloopers!
All of us (inclusive) have fallen short from the glory of God.
We’ve  had leaps, mistakes, and bloopers.
Only because of God’s grace and mercy are these leaps, mistakes, and bloopers edited out.

We are here because of His Goodness . . . .and because of His Grace
God allows mistakes, misfortune etc. . . . . in order to utilize us to do ministry.
There are blessings in our bloopers . . . ..  .
There are blessings in our bloopers when we profit from them
Thank God for bloopers

I am not blooper sensored….For example when a passenger tries to go through the airport security . . . .and the buzzer goes off . . .it is metal sensored. . . .. .
The doors at the church should be devil sensored. . . . . .and go off to detect the sinners entering the church house . . . .should be devil sensored. . . Jezebel sensored. . . .etc. . .

There are some folks . .. you don’t want to hang out with!
With your bloopers . .  .God is going to qualify you to do ministry. . . .
You are going to be qualified and given the authority to do ministry

Through storms . . . . .we cry
Bloopers qualify you to be a blessing to others . . ..
Sometimes we cover up our mistakes and act like we’ve always been in church.
We need to be real about it!

Young people see our scars from the bloopers; which will allow them to NOT make the same mistakes/bloopers
Who we are and what we see now . . . .we wouldn’t have gotten at this point without our bloopers

Bloopers are fixable . . . .
Everyone had bloopers . .  . .i.e. Noah drank . . . .Moses murdered, Paul persecuted. . . . .  .still God used these individuals to spread His Word . . .regardless of the bloopers that they had completed in their lives . . . .

Bloopers/flaws don’t prohibit Kingdom Building . . . . .
We do need to limit our bloopers, though . . . .
Our bloopers can be potential barriers to non-believers. . . . .

Grace abounds . . . .
We as Christians should walk the walk and talk the talk . . . . our bloopers should be minimal . . . . . .
God is looking for some ‘real folk’ . . . .

Bloopers are fixable . . .They can be fixed . . . . ..
God CAN fix our bloopers . . . .
God WILL fix our bloopers!

God gave me another chance. . . .We serve a mighty good God . . .
God is merciful . . . .God is graceful. . . .Grace

GRACE
Grace woke me up this morning!
Grace started me on my way . . .
AMAZING GRACE . . . .
GOD’S AMAZING GRACE ! ! ! ! ! ! ! !

AREN’T WE GLAD THAT BECAUSE OF GOD’S GRACE AND MERCY AND BECAUSE OF HIS SON JESUS
. . . .OUR BLOOPERS ARE EDITED OUT OF THE FILM ABOUT OUR LIVES . . . .  .
 hmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm

For while the Law was given through Moses, grace (unearned, undeserved favor and spiritual blessing) and truth came through Jesus Christ. John 1: 17

Celebrating Black History Month by honoring my friend -- Sister Rosemary Nyirumbe from Gulu, Uganda

Sister Rosemary Nyirumbe - CNN Hero of the year 2007
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=4j3kLa4k9l0

Sister Rosemary has started a school in Gulu, Uganda for the young girls that were kidnapped / enslaved by the warlords at an early age. They were impregnated, mutilated, kept in bondage until Sister Rosemary fought back and saved them from their captors. She has allowed them to have a childhood, taught them skills to encourage their importance.

Read more above and see video about Sister Rosemary's CNN Hero award and her plight in Gulu. She feeds families from up in the hills on Sundays...as well as her girls at the St. Monica School. Right now---there is a drought and they need water.

They also need our 'PRAYERS'......love you Sister Rosemary!!

A SPECIAL NOTE FROM MY FRIEND 'SISTER ROSEMARY' IN UGANDA - CHILDREN CALLED SUNDAY 'A HAPPY SUNDAY' BECAUSE THEY GOT TO EAT...

New from Tree of Wisdom: “Happy Sunday” Atiak Feeding Program

“Happy Sunday” Atiak Feeding Program
Posted: 04 Apr 2011 03:10 PM PDT

It has become hard for me and the coordinators of Tree of Wisdom to know how many children come to the feeding program–“Happy Sunday” as the children call it.

Atiak, the village in Northern Uganda where we have the TOW feeding program running every Sunday since July 2010, experiences a long period of draught every year.  The ones who suffer most as a result of this famine are the children and elderly people.   It  becomes more and more compelling to provide food for the children there.  The number of children who come every Sunday keeps increasing because very often, kids comes with their friends.

At first it was overwhelming to see so many kids coming to the “Happy Sunday”. My worry was that the food would not be enough to feed them all.  I was proven wrong as the children got the food and sat down, sharing  one plate of food between two of them.   This reminds me of the power of sharing.  Blessed Mother Theresa said, “the poor know how to share.”

Apart from love and care the children receive from all their friends and sponsors in Tree of Wisdom.  The biggest gift has been the feeding program for many of the children in Atiak.  Thanks to the generosity of everybody who has made this possible.  Its not going to be easy for us to get the exact number of children who come every week to Happy Sunday but the number fluctuates between 120 to 150 children.  It is hard to send away new faces of hungry children who report with their friends.  We decided from the beginning that we wouldn’t ever do that.  This program is making a huge impact on the lives of children in Atiak, and it can be seen that the children look a lot better.

My only fear is that we shall be getting more children coming with their friends.  On the other hand I have also learned to trust in the Divine Providence.  I just have to get past the thought that we shall not have enough to feed all the children who come on our way.

Again I thank you all for making this happen.  Your generosity makes the children live with hope.
God Bless you all,
Sr. Rosemary

I love you Sister Rosemary....I am sooooo humbled and honored that you call me friend.....and have added me to your 'best friend' list.  I am soooooooo praying for you and all those babies down there in Africa.  My sister Sherry and I are going to get started helping you to feed those babies by selling your jewelry up here in the United States.  I will contact Monique this week!!....She has already sent me an email to just let her know when we were ready......

I will gather your and my sisters---Rev. Alice, Linda, Rita, Lynda, Lisa, Cynthia, Tammi and Sherry up here in Oklahoma and intercede on your behalf to 'Our Heavenly Father'.

SERAPHIM ANGELS....I know that my grandma Daisy (Big Mama) is my Seraphim Angel.....She is always watching over me.....

It says that Angels are the unseen attendants of the saints of God.....they bear us up in their hands....You can read it below.....They are watchers and protectors....of us :)....

SERAPHIM ANGELS....I know that my grandma Daisy (Big Mama) is my Seraphim Angel.....She is always watching over me.....Interesting reading though......love my study bible CD.....it gives me daily readings...morning and night.... Thought I would share.....

“Are they not all ministering spirits, sent forth to minister for them who shall be heirs of salvation?”
— Hebrews 1:14

Angels are the unseen attendants of the saints of God; they bear us up in their hands, lest we dash our foot against a stone. Loyalty to their Lord leads them to take a deep interest in the children of his love; they rejoice over the return of the prodigal to his father's house below, and they welcome the advent of the believer to the King's palace above. In olden times the sons of God were favoured with their visible appearance, and at this day, although unseen by us, heaven is still opened, and the angels of God ascend and descend upon the Son of man, that they may visit the heirs of salvation. Seraphim still fly with live coals from off the altar to touch the lips of men greatly beloved. If our eyes could be opened, we should see horses of fire and chariots of fire about the servants of the Lord; for we have come to an innumerable company of angels, who are all watchers and protectors of the seed-royal. Spenser's line is no poetic fiction, where he sings—

“How oft do they with golden pinions cleave
The flitting skies, like flying pursuivant
Against foul fiends to aid us militant!”

To what dignity are the chosen elevated when the brilliant courtiers of heaven become their willing servitors! Into what communion are we raised since we have intercourse with spotless celestials! How well are we defended since all the twenty- thousand chariots of God are armed for our deliverance! To whom do we owe all this? Let the Lord Jesus Christ be for ever endeared to us, for through him we are made to sit in heavenly places far above principalities and powers. He it is whose camp is round about them that fear him; he is the true Michael whose foot is upon the dragon. All hail, Jesus! thou Angel of Jehovah's presence, to thee this family offers its morning vows.

My grandmother (Big Mama) was such an earthly angel as well....She was such a praying woman of GOD and she would pray for hours on her knees at night....I would pull on her night gown...when I was a little girl praying with her.....wondering why we were still on our knees praying...and she would shhhhh me....and keep on going praying to OUR LORD!

Now I understand and am soooooooo thankful cause her residual prayers are still floating around me and protecting me....just to think of how prayed up she was for her family.....

Love you Big Mama.....Love you GOD!!!

Haiti aid worker: When will cholera suffering stop? Personal narrative with compelling images from iReporter RoseannD.

CNN producer note
RoseannD has been in Haiti since July helping with relief efforts. 'It’s hard to see children left alone, crying, weathering the battle. They’ve suffered enough growing up in orphanages and in the slums of Haiti,' RoseannD said. 'Life is hard here. Parents are often unable to stay with their sick children because they have to work, be with their other children or they are just afraid.' These photos were taken at the cholera treatment center in Cite Soleil where RoseannD works.

1 Thessalonians 5:17 states:
Pray without ceasing

Below is the prayer petition that my church family in Houston, TX -- Windsor Village -- Pastors Kirbyjon and Suzette Caldwell / Pastor Velosia Kibe are praying for Haiti which are based on the below scriptures.

Psalm 66:1-8
Psalm 20
Reflections of the Heart: Haiti is a nation in need of our prayer.

Thousands of people have died, and countless families have been affected by the devastating earthquake and now the hurricane. The Haitian people could spend years recovering what was destroyed in a matter of minutes. Please keep this nation and its citizens in your daily prayers.

In our prayer classes at Windsor, we were taught to read and pray through scripture.

Pastor Alice Richardson of Prospect Church OKC wrote last week:
"Wow...to see such human suffering in Haiti should motivate us all to pray and get involved...look for opportunities to make your personal imprint on the situation. Do it in the name of Jesus and for His glory. Love and Peace"

Pastor Alice----...I sooooo know that you are a woman of GOD....I know your heart and know that you pray to GOD to answer your prayers in a bigggggg way!!...I have learned soooooo much from you....and you didn't think I was always listening did you???.....WE HAVE JUST GOT TO MAKE OUR PERSONAL IMPRINT ON THIS SITUATION THROUGH PRAYER AND SUPPLICATION!!!

Please continue to pray for HAITI...
Here are some more pictures that were on CNN taken by a photo journalist down there...

We can't forget these babies down in Haiti......look into their eyes and faces.....feel their hurt and pain.....
I am going to keep talking.......and praying!! This is sooooooo heartbreaking.....NEED TO PRAY CONTINUOUSLY AND FERVENTLY FOR HAITI......

My Thompson chain-reference bible states:

Psalm 18:17; 34:4, 56:13
The LORD is my rock and my fortress, and my deliverer.

Isaiah 46:4 states:
I have made, and I will bear; even I will carry, and will deliver you.

Daniel 6:27 states:
He delivered and rescueth.

We need to read and pray these scriptures for GOD's deliverance on HAITI....We know that HE is our deliverer and can do allllllll things...HE is GOD!!!

Pastor John Brock of JH Brock Ministries in Columbus, Ohio wrote:
"When i think of Haiti it puts me in the mind of how things could be if we don't come together and realize the attention the Lord is wanting from his people. We have to get into one massive prayer and bombard heaven and pray for this countries survival, the people have suffered something no other country next to NYC, OKC & California have experienced. As the song says "GOD IS TRYING TO TELL YOU SOMETHING" its time to listen!!"

Pastor Kathryn S. Mckinney, Founder of the National Black Women of Faith wrote:
"Just finished reading some updates about the country. They say it is full of trash, debri, and dirty water, cholera outbreak, dysentery. Just horrible. We must pray and we must act!"
