Sister Rosemary Nyirumbe
For the last 30 years, Sister Rosemary of the Sisters of the Sacred Heart of Jesus based in Juba, South Sudan, has answered the call to serve the least among us from the epicenter of a bloody and violent civil wars that decimated northern Uganda and South Sudan.

Armed with only a sewing machine, Sister Rosemary openly defied Joseph Kony and the rebel soldiers and commanders of the Lord’s Resistance Army in their 20-year reign of terror. Since 2002, Sister Rosemary has enrolled thousands of girls who had been previously abducted by the LRA or abandoned by their families.

Sister Rosemary Nyirumbe --- #Giving Tuesday --- Donate at: www.ProsForAfrica.com

Tuesday – December 2nd is ‘GIVING TUESDAY’ FOR NON-PROFITS

 #GIVINGTUESDAY - December 2, 2014

****WHAT WILL YOU GIVE?****

For 25+ years, Joseph Kony and his Lord's Resistance Army (LRA) committed heinous atrocities against the children in Uganda. These children were kidnapped, tortured, mutilated, abused, raped and made sex slaves. They were also trained to become soldiers and even had to kill their own family members, as well as others.

Sister Rosemary Nyirumbe openly defied the warlord Joseph Kony and the LRA in their reign of terror to save these children.

Sister Rosemary started St. Monica Girls Tailoring Centre in Gulu, Uganda to help these young girls and their children. There are three schools in Africa that are supported by Sister Rosemary; one in Gulu, Uganda; one in Atiak, Uganda and a third school is in the process of being built in Torit, South Sudan.

‘HELP’ Sister Rosemary Nyirumbe help these young women and their children.  The need is great there!

$500 takes care of one young mom with one child for an entire year in Uganda.

$500 provides food, shelter, medicine, clothing, transportation and more for each of these families for one year.

Tuesday – December 2nd is ‘GIVING TUESDAY’ FOR NON-PROFITS

CNN iReport by Patricia Smith -- PILGRIMAGE -- National Holiday in Uganda in honor of The Ugandan Martyrs

CNN iReport by Patricia Smithhttp://ireport.cnn.com/docs/DOC-1140287 PILGRIMAGE -- National Holiday in Uganda in honor of The Ugandan Martyrs

Today was a National Holiday in Uganda in honor of The Ugandan Martyrs. They are a group of 23 Anglican and 22 Catholic converts to Christianity in the historical kingdom of Buganda, now part of Uganda, who were executed between November 1885 and January 1887. They were executed because they were practicing Christians.

Thousands and Thousands of people came to worship and to honor GOD and those that were slaughtered in HIS NAME.

CNN Hero of 2007 Sister Rosemary Nyirumbe-----along with many other nuns as well as thousands of practicing Christians attended the pilgrimage. Many people had walked for days to get there ---some over 500 kilometers. They came in buses and trucks and cars ---on top of trucks by the thousands.

It was just amazing to watch / observe how all of these people loved GOD so much that they sacrificed and slept on the ground just to sing and worship HIM and honor these martyrs.

There were Christians of all denominations and from all over the world in attendance there to include the United States.

Several clergy spoke in several languages and the President of Uganda - Yoweri Kaguta Museveni was there and spoke about GOD and unity of the country.

Great sojourn today!

Another sojourn on this journey that I am on to reflect on FOREVER!...

THANKS GOD for this reflection!...
