I will be in Chicago tomorrow through Thursday morning with Sister Rosemary Nyirumbe.....She is being honored at DePaul University.

This year the keynote address will be delivered by Connie Lindsey, Executive Vice President and
Global Head of Social Responsibility at Northern Trust and National Board President for the Girl Scouts of the USA. Ms. Lindsey will share her insights on leading through change and the relevance of Dr. King’s life, legacy and lessons in our global society.

Special Guest Sister Rosemary Nyirumbe, CNN 2007 Hero and recipient of the 2013 Doctorate of Humane Letters at the DePaul ceremony in Kenya, will join us. Sister Nyirumbe, a Ugandan educator who empowers women and girls who survived brutality at the hands of rebels, is the subject of Sewing Hope, a book and documentary film being shown at DePaul on February 19.

This title of this event has been updated and this event is part of the Sankofa 40 Years of Blackness at SNL theme for the year.
